Chosen as the best across the state... JOIN THE CLUB for PRIZES and FUN!
Each year, Media Specialists select 15 of the newest titles by American authors to be the current year's Sunshine State Readers books. These novels cover all genres--fantasy, historic fiction, action, graphic novels & more--and have been chosen for their particular appeal for students in grades 6-8.
Students at RMA are encouraged to join our Sunshine State Readers Group, which meets throughout the year once a week during lunch. Along with hosting author visits, both virtual and in-person, at year-end, we have a party with trivia games, food, and prizes!

Students really enjoyed our virtual visit with author Lindsay Currie (Scritch, Scratch) who shared interesting stories, creepy tales, and insight about writing novels for a full hour!
